Equipment Storage Buildings: Secure, Expandable, And Portable
When you make an investment in the proper equipment for your business, you need an equipment storage building that is strong enough to protect it.
From massive storage buildings to smaller sheds, SteelMaster Buildings offers a variety of equipment storage options that will adequately protect your investments.
What’s the advantage of using a Quonset style equipment storage building?
One of the greatest benefits of owning a SteelMaster equipment storage building is the limitless interior space. Our buildings are self-supporting and do not require the use of beams and trusses.
This leaves the owner of the building the option to use 100 percent of the space on the inside of the building which makes it much easier to store large equipment, boxes or even install your own storage shelves.
Every SteelMaster equipment storage building is made with the best, commercial-grade steel in the industry. The quality steel combined with the strength of the self-supporting arch design makes our buildings tough enough to endure the wrath of Mother Nature. SteelMaster’s metal storage buildings have survived powerful tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards and earthquakes. Storing equipment can be an expensive venture, but with a SteelMaster building, that does not have to be the case. Our DIY buildings are cost-effective and will also save you money over the years. These buildings are easy to maintain because our arches are built to last.
You can also save time during the building process. Our buildings are prefabricated, which makes it much easier to assemble them quickly with the help of just a small crew. So if you have a tight deadline to meet, SteelMaster’s buildings are your best bet. Every steel panel is pre-punched and pre-drilled at our factory before it arrives on your doorstep.
Why not just get a cheap solution to equipment storage?
If you want a structure that’s built to last for decades, a steel equipment storage building is your safest and best option.
Although a metal building kit may be pricier than a wood or fabric building up front, you’ll thank yourself for saving money on maintenance costs in the future.
We know the price of cheap fabric or wood buildings can sound very appealing! However, you will only end up paying more money in the long run due to the cost of maintenance.
Wooden buildings are vulnerable to rot, pests, moisture damage, and fire. Fabric buildings can tear and mold easily. Fabric or wood buildings that aren’t consistently maintained can be a major eye sore and decrease the overall value of your property.
Steel equipment storage buildings are an ideal choice for a long-term investment. While a they are little more expensive, they require little to no maintenance after assembly. This is because SteelMaster uses a coating called Galvalume Plus that helps to prevent rusting and basic wear and tear on the arches.
What if I just need temporary storage?
SteelMaster’s metal Quonset huts are a great solution for your temporary storage needs for a couple of reasons:
Portability: SteelMaster buildings offer a benefit that traditional wood or fabric buildings don’t—portability. If you need to move your building, you can simply take the building apart and reassemble it in another location. Be sure to tell your building specialist if portability is an important feature for you so they can review the details of your building and offer insight and tips.
Easily Extendable: Need to expand your building as you purchase more equipment? Not a problem! Instead of having to purchase a new equipment storage building when you outgrow your existing one, you can purchase more arches later on to add to your structure for more space.
What if I just need a smaller storage shed for gardening and lawn equipment?
Not a problem–No matter the size, we can design a metal shed for any purpose. SteelMaster’s gardening and lawn equipment sheds provide you with the best quality storage solution at a competitive price.
Our buildings can be designed in a variety of sizes, from a small 10’x 10’ shed that can fit in the backyard to a 30’ x 30’ for larger items.
We have several models including the A-Model, S-Model, X-Model and the classic Q- Model Building all offer plenty of space to store any size equipment.
The A-Model has a 4:12 pitched roof line and high sidewall clearance. This option comes in sizes from 16’ to 32’ wide and is great for installing shelves to help organize the interior of your building.
The S-Model is one of the more popular models for equipment storage. The width spans from 10’ to 100’. The X-Model is great for areas that experience heavy snow storms. This model was created for customers who wanted the 4:12 pitched roof style without risking a roof collapse.
The classic Q-Model building is the strongest of all of the models. It’s great for agricultural storage and custom buildings.
What are the most common customizations for equipment storage buildings?
There are plenty of options for you to customize your steel equipment storage building! It really has to do with what you are storing or trying to protect.
Our metal storage buildings start at 20’ and go up to 40’ in width with unlimited lengths. You can add as many arches as you need for a complete equipment storage solution. We sell several parts and accessories you can use to customize your structure:
Base connector: We offer an option Industrial Base Connector to provide a transition from your building to its foundation. The arches of your SteelMaster building will bolt to the base connector, which anchors the bolts to the concrete foundation. The base connector will give you the ability to easily move or expand your building later on. It also makes it easier to assemble your arches to existing slabs or block walls.
Endwalls: Our metal Quonset huts are versatile and can be open-ended, semi-enclosed with one endwall, or a fully enclosed building.
Doors: We sell two types of doors: garage doors and service or “man” doors. Service doors can also be placed in either the endwalls or sidewalls, the location depends on your building configuration. Our framed openings are endwalls or sidewalls that come with spaces already cut out for your doors. Garage door frames are typically mounted in the center of the endwall. Service doors are typically offset on the endwall.
Turbine vents: Turbine vents are easily installed in the roof line to allow for maximum airflow into your building. Airflow is created as outdoor air is pulled into the building, maintaining a constant circulation of air. No electricity or gas is required to power your vent, as our turbine ventilator uses wind velocity to function. They do not allow rainwater into the building and can withstand wind velocity of up to 120 mph. One turbine vent is recommended for each 600 square feet of building area.
Skylights: SteelMaster’s skylight panels allow natural sunlight to fill your building. Our skylights are designed with a flat bottom, v-shaped corrugation that matches the steel panels of your building. The deep corrugation gives them resistance to high winds, small flying debris and hail. Building owners are advised to install one skylight per 10 foot of the building.
