Steel Coverall Buildings For Bulk Storage Solutions

If you’re looking for an economical, durable, easy-to-assemble bulk storage solution, SteelMaster’s storage or coverall buildings are perfect for your needs and are comparably priced to fabric buildings.

SteelMaster’s Quonset Hut design gives it unique advantages for bulk storage. The combination of widths of up to 80ft and their clear-span design allow for plenty of clearance for trucks, loaders, and plows to drive inside and easily maneuver throughout the structure.

Our coverall buildings also work great for any storage needs. And should your needs to cover more material increase with time, your SteelMaster structure can easily be expanded to meet the need.

Popular Bulk Applications

Our steel shelters are a popular choice among departments of transportation, farmers, large agricultural operations, and city & state governments. This preference is driven by the greater protection and longevity steel provides against the elements compared to less durable materials such as fabric, plastics, or wood.

Steel VS. Fabric: Pricing & Features

SteelMaster is an industry leader in the production of quick-cover buildings that are used to safely store equipment and substances that need to be protected from the elements.

There are two main types of coverall bulk buildings, those that rely on fabric and tension for structural support and those that use steel. Both fabric and steel coveralls offer some of the same advantages, but steel buildings are more durable, require less maintenance, and last for much longer.

Steel VS. Fabric: Maintenance Requirements

For protecting equipment, vehicles, salt, sand, or soil; a steel building does a better job than fabric at a comparable price. While fabric buildings may be cheaper upfront to purchase, investing in steel bulk storage will lead to long-term savings in energy costs and maintenance expenses down the road.

Regular Surface Maintenance

Fabric buildings require regular maintenance and will need to have the fabric replaced and reinstalled every 10 to 15 years, if not sooner.

Patching & Repairs

Even the thickest fabric can deteriorate with age and exposure to the weather. A tear in a fabric structure can easily spread across the entire cover, exposing the materials inside the building to harsh elements.

Routine Inspections

Fabric buildings are regularly inspected for issues like holes, defects, corrosion and tension.
