International Building Solutions: Steel Kits Shipped Worldwide
SteelMaster has supplied the world with the highest quality arch steel buildings and roofing materials in the industry.
Our international buildings serve niche market sectors including agriculture, mining and the military, among others. While much of our international business is with commercial clients, our metal Quonset huts can also be considered for residential or high-occupancy buildings.
SteelMaster’s project managers have years of experience with the international building code, importing, exporting and logistics.
Our extensive experience with worldwide steel buildings and our understanding of the unique requirements of the world’s diverse markets and cultures has made our company a leader in the international arena for decades.
We are proud to have representation in over 40 countries around the globe and to have sold more than 50,000 buildings across six continents and in more than 50 countries.
SteelMaster also has a department that specializes in serving the Latin American population, offering direct service in Spanish to clients in these nations. The Latin American Department is unique in the steel building industry, as it can support native Spanish speakers.
Building Code Expertise
The International Building Code (IBC), developed by the International Code Council, addresses both health and safety concerns with no regional limitations.
The IBC is also compatible with all ICC codes and generally applies to the construction of new buildings and additions to existing buildings, changes in the use of buildings and the demolition of older buildings.
Our design engineers are experts at solving building code requirements due to our technical competence and experience working all over the world.
Once we receive the coordinates of your building site, we will research the area’s topography, elevation and conditions to make sure your structure will be up to code.
Then, we send the information to our factory to help produce the state-stamped blueprints that come with your building.
The nature of this research can be complex. But because of our years of practical problem solving in some of the world’s highest wind and snow load areas, your building will be designed to meet any challenge Mother Nature or the building inspector throws your way.
Importing, Exporting and Logistics
SteelMaster has the ability to ship structures to many ports around the world including: Malta, Nigeria, Peru, Costa Rica, Caribbean, Angola, Iceland, Japan, Australia, Chile, Mexico and many more.
For over 35 years, we have had a history in handling ocean and air freight services for our customers to the final port of destination. We collaborate with reliable logistics networks to find help find competitive transport rates for our customers.
Plus, our team of building specialists has extensive knowledge of transportation document requirements including:
- Bill of ladings
- Certificate of conformity
- Export and import licensing requirements
Ease of Shipping
The panel design of our metal Quonset huts makes shipping overseas easy. The panels are stacked on top of each other and framed with wood, then covered with a metal case for additional protection.
The panels are placed in a shipping container to ship to your destination. Several buildings can fit into a 20′ or 40′ container depending on the size of the buildings.
In some cases, the container can even be used as one of the walls of your building so you get the most value out of your purchase.
Huertos Del Valle (HDV) – Chile
Workers in South America are some of the best when it comes to harvesting nuts, but they encountered a problem that was a potential threat to the overall economic well-being of the entire industry — storage.
Huertos Del Valle, one of the largest exporters of nuts in Chile, processes and exports several different products including walnuts, almonds and plums to individuals and companies around the world.
HDV came to SteelMaster Buildings to purchase a facility that was strong enough to protect both the equipment and their products and our dedicated professionals were there to help.
They purchased four SteelMaster structures to protect their products. The company was most impressed with our buildings’ strength, the airtight doors, and their ability to be customized to their specifications.
AECOM, an international company that provides engineering, consulting and project management services for infrastructure projects, stepped up to assist war-torn South Sudan and they purchased several SteelMaster buildings to help them in their efforts.
AECOM contacted SteelMaster Buildings through their subcontractor Arkel SallyPort to create steel structures to use as medical warehouses and storage facilities for medical supplies. The buildings are also used as relief shelters in the area.
The company purchased four A-model structures, three 16’x 52′ and one 16’x 66′.
The buildings were sent from a SteelMaster factory to the Port of Mombasa, Kenya. It was then delivered by truck inland to South Sudan.
Thousands of Meters in Romania
Over the course of 7 years, master builder Ovidiu Popa has successfully bought and installed thousands of meters of SteelMaster structures across his native country of Romania.
One of his projects was in support of the nation’s largest manufacturer of windows and doors.
Mr. Popa supplied a 15m x 100m (50ft x 328ft) Q-model to warehouse their valuable inventory and secure their assets against the elements and theft.
From the day this structure was purchased, it took less than two business weeks for SteelMaster to manufacture it and ship from our factory all the way to the southeastern European country.
Not only are our buildings of great quality and durability, but we will also make sure you get yours in your desired timeframe.
After receiving the building, Mr. Popa and his small team of six members were able to build the massive structure in just two and a half days.
