24 x 24 Garage For 1 or 2 Cars

24 x 24 Garage For 1 or 2 Cars

One of the most popular metal garage sizes, a 24 x 24, provides enough space for vehicles to feel roomy but not so big that there’s wasted space.

With 576 square feet of floor space, you can easily accommodate larger vehicles like trucks or vans and still have enough room to walk around, open vehicle doors, and a little storage space.

24 x 24 x 14 Purchase & Construction FAQs

Can I get a 25 x 25 garage or other similar sizes?

Yes, your garage building can range anywhere between 10 wide and 60 wide with unlimited length in increments of two feet (the width of a prefab steel panel).  A 25×30 garage is a popular, slightly bigger option compared to a 24×24 garage, with an additional 176 square feet (+30% more space!). Our X-Model also has a standard model that is 25 wide. If you’re looking for something a bit smaller, we have 22×22 garage kits available.

Can I create a custom endwall to match the rest of my property?

Endwalls can be simple panels of steel or elaborate works of art – depending on your taste and budget. You can save money by building out a custom endwall or SteelMaster can provide standard steel endwalls for an additional cost, as well as parts and accessories like garage doors, service doors, or vents.

Will SteelMaster assemble the building?

No, you can’t hire SteelMaster to assemble your garage. However, our prefab garage kits are designed to be DIY and you have the option to hire a local contractor. Additionally, the SteelMaster team will provide you with ongoing technical support should you have any questions throughout the construction process.

One of the advantages of SteelMaster compared to other garage building companies is that not only do you get a building but you can also rely on our decades of experience to answer any construction questions before you buy so when your garage is delivered you have a clear plan on how to construct it.

Can I add an extra story or loft to my garage?

Yes, because the Quonset hut acts as both the structural support and outer shell of your garage, the interior has 100% usable space. You can add an upstairs, an attic for storage, or a 24×24 garage with a loft. If you’re interested in building a loft inside of your garage, be sure to mention it to your building specialist so they can design a building with the appropriate height.

Can I paint my Quonset garage?

Yes. Every SteelMaster garage comes with an anti-corrosive coating, Galvalume Plus, and does not require painting. However, some garage owners wish to paint their garage to a desired color. If you choose to paint your building and are not using a primer, it is recommended to use high gloss water-based, self-priming 100% acrylic paint.

Check out our blog featuring a SteelMaster client detailing the step-by-step process of painting their Quonset shed.

Can I expand my garage later?

Yes, Quonset garages can have an unlimited length, plus you can add more arches later on. You can get a 24×24 garage today and turn it into a 24×30 (or longer!) at any point in the future.
