20 x 20 Two Car Garage Kits
A 20 X 20 garage is the smallest and most affordable option to fit two cars comfortably.
With 400 square feet of floor space, you can still fit cars (around 45 square feet) and trucks (around 55 square feet), with plenty of space in between. Should your garage storage needs grow, you can also add length to your 20×20 by adding two-foot increments of arches to the building, turning your 20 X 20 into a 20 X 24 or even a 20 X 40.

20'x20'x14' Purchase & Construction FAQs
Can a 20x20 garage be expanded?
Yes, each arch adds two feet in length to a building so if you need more room, you can bolt on more arches to the existing building. While you can’t widen the garage, you can add as many arches in length as necessary.
Will SteelMaster design my 20x20 garage for me?
SteelMaster works directly with you to define the key elements of your garage and offer insights into the customizations you’re considering. As part of the purchasing process, we also provide state-stamped, engineer-approved blueprints to you at no additional cost.
What endwall works best for this sized garage?
No matter the size of a garage, endwalls are fully optional and customizable. Whether you’re leaving the garage open on both ends or hiring a local artisan to make your endwall a thing of beauty, is completely up to you. SteelMaster offers corrugated steel paneling, service doors, and garage doors for those looking for a standard endwall option.
Will SteelMaster assemble the building?
No, you can’t hire SteelMaster to assemble your garage. However, our prefab garage kits are designed to be DIY and you have the option to hire a local contractor. Additionally, the SteelMaster team will provide you with ongoing technical support should you have any questions throughout the construction process.
One of the advantages of SteelMaster compared to other garage building companies is that not only do you get a building, but you can also rely on our decades of experience to answer any construction questions before you buy. When your garage is delivered, you’ll have a clear plan on how to construct it.
Can I paint my Quonset garage?
Yes. Some garage owners wish to paint their garages to a desired color. If you choose to paint your building and are not using a primer, it is recommended to use high gloss water-based, self-priming 100% acrylic paint. However, every SteelMaster garage comes with an anti-corrosive coating, Galvalume Plus, and does not require painting.
