Prefab Building Kits Save On Shipping Container Costs To Hawaii
Because Hawaii is not part of the continental United States, shipping large items may seem challenging. However, SteelMaster’s building specialists will assist you in making the shipping and delivery process as smooth and cost-effective as possible.
Since there’s no drivable way to the islands from the continental United States, nearly all imported goods arrive via island ports. We can ship your building materials to several Hawaiian ports, including:
SteelMaster’s metal Quonset huts are shipped on our custom made pallets. The arches will be stacked on top of each other, similar to a can of Pringles. This allows your prefab building kit to be quickly and easily offloaded.
We will also ship all of the necessary nuts and bolts you need to assemble your steel Quonset hut. If you choose to purchase our optional endwalls or additional accessories, you’ll also receive those items with the arch panels.
The shipper will transfer those pallets to containers (LTL) for shipment to Hawaii once the buildings are delivered to a port in California. Customers have the option to pay to have the building crated for an additional fee.
Your building materials will be delivered to a local agent for Hawaiian Ocean Transport (HOT) to be picked up at port. You also have the option to negotiate a rate for the HOT agent to deliver the building straight to your property. If you don’t know any HOT agents, there’s no need to worry–we have a list of reputable agents that will be able to assist you.
