Your Next DIY Project

Now that fall is here and temperatures are beginning to cool, it is time to get outside on the weekends and take care of all of those projects around the house. Whether you’re an avid do-it-yourselfer or a novice, here’s a simple project for anyone who needs a little extra storage space or a larger work area.

Steel storage buildings are surprisingly simple to erect. A do-it-yourself metal garage kit will contain all the necessary components needed to erect your new storage shed. These components are accurately made to precise standards to ensure easy assembly. A high quality steel building will also use only one size nut and bolt for the entire building leaving no question as to what bolt goes where. Once your foundation has been laid, there are only four main steps to erecting your new metal storage building.

  • Steel ArchStep 1: Build Your Arches – Arches are assembled on the ground making this DIY project safe and easy.

  •  Step 2: Raise Arches – For smaller buildings, no heavy equipment is required to raise your steel building; a rope and ladder are all you really need.

  • Step 3: Fit Arches Together - On a high quality steel storage building the arches are precision-built to fit together perfectly. There should be enough overlap to provide more steel at critical connections. This will ensure the strongest, best-fitting system.

  • DIY Steel StorageStep 4: Add End Walls and Trim – Finish your new steel garage with any style end wall and/or trim that you desire!

It’s as simple as that! To see more of the process of erecting a steel building, watch the video below.
