SteelMaster Buildings Featured in Blockbuster Movies

SteelMaster Goes Hollywood!

SteelMaster Buildings have been featured in several Hollywood blockbuster movies and commercials including Austin Powers Goldmember and Die Hard 2.

In the Austin Powers movie, the SteelMaster steel building was designed for the submarine scenes.  The submarine was introduced in the 3rd film as one of Dr. Evil’s secret lairs. 

 In Die Hard 2, SteelMaster Buildings provided the 450-foot-long steel tunnel that served as a New York aqueduct.  SteelMaster supplied the main tunnel plus two smaller tunnels in case the set location didn’t work out.  After final assembly, the tunnel measured in at almost 1,200 feet.  The tunnel acts an escape aqueduct for Bruce Willis during a scene where the bad guy, Jeremy Irons, tried to drown the hero by blowing up a dam. 

So you may wonder what’s the next big project for SteelMaster in Hollywood?  Well, SteelMaster Buildings has just supplied several more steel buildings for another big action blockbuster set for release in 2010.  But you’ll just have to wait till next year to see SteelMaster back as a star in Hollywood!
