Steel Prices Forecasted to Increase – Historically Low Steel Prices Ending
The historically low prices that SteelMaster customers have been seeing in 2009 are coming to an end December 2009. Industry experts are expecting steel prices to begin rising in December and continuing into 2010. Demand is expected to increase by 12% with an average price increase of 14% predicted, the second-highest on record according to a Bloomberg News survey of analysts. Rising automotive demand and U.S. Government infrastructure stimulus packages as well as international demand for steel products are several of the factors contributing to the escalating prices.
