You bet! Every SteelMaster building features easy-to-understand, complete illustrated assembly instructions in the newly revised construction manual. Using our one-size nut and bolt system as the only fastener and precision-fit components, erecting your new SteelMaster building is a SNAP!
Absolutely! Most of our customers assemble and raise the arches to complete the construction of their SteelMaster metal building without a contractor. Each of our steel buildings comes with an easy-to-read and detailed construction manual to aid in the construction of your new building. Always remember that your SteelMaster Building Specialist and our Customer Service Representatives are available should you have any questions during any phase of the assembly process.
Build Your Arches – Putting up your SteelMaster steel building is safe and easy, with 70% of the work done on the ground with only one-size nut and bolt.
Raise Arches – In most cases, no heavy equipment is required when raising your steel building.
Fit Arches Together – Our precision-built arches fit together perfectly. The precision overlap of the arches provides more steel at critical connections, ensuring the easiest-to-assemble, strongest, best-fitting arch system available.
Add End Walls – Finish your building with any SteelMaster steel building end wall or add a custom garage end wall that you create and add on yourself.
SteelMaster’s pre-cut, pre-drilled metal buildings are easy to assemble. Most SteelMaster buildings can be completely assembled in a matter of just a few days.
Your foundation can be concrete, wood, or other materials based on your intended use. Most SteelMaster metal building owners place their buildings on a concrete slab or footer. With our simple optional pre-drilled Base Connector, attaching your SteelMaster steel building to foundation anchor bolts is a snap.
You don’t have to treat it, paint it, or maintain it. With a SteelMaster building, you just enjoy it. The Galvalume Plus coating provides years of maintenance-free use. And the rugged resilient steel will take the bumps and bangs common to a working building.
Galvalume Plus offers strength, superior corrosion resistance, and an attractive bright appearance that provides excellent heat reflectivity. To learn more about Galvalume Plus, click here.
The SteelMaster garage design allows for just about any type of insulation. Whether you choose fiberglass rolls, spray-on insulation or rigid foam, the insulation can easily be retrofitted after your steel building construction.
Of course! Running electrical wiring is easy, although, you will probably want to have a certified electrician install your wiring unless wiring is your expertise.
You must allow six feet of clearance from the end of the steel building before placing a vent or skylight. Then the accessories can be placed every ten feet if they are staggered side to side. If you wish to not stagger the accessories you must allow 20-feet between each skylight and/or vent.
Definitely! When you need to match or complement other structures, SteelMaster steel building can be customized using our Trim Kits to tie into other material such as wood, vinyl siding, even brick or block.
All buildings produce some condensation, so make sure your building is properly ventilated to avoid any condensation inside your SteelMaster steel building. We offer louver and turbine vents as accessories that eliminate condensation, maximize air circulation and are easy to install.
You can paint your SteelMaster metal building as you would any other type of building. However, painting isn’t required for weather protection – the aluminum + zinc surface provides that for 30 years! For more information on painting, please contact a SteelMaster Representative.
In a word, STEEL! Steel does not rot, warp, shrink or split and it is non-combustible. Structural steel is easier to handle, stronger, and less expensive than any other common building materials. Steel’s inherent strength resists fire, earthquake and hurricane damage. Steel components weigh up to 60% less than wood members and all steel products are repeatedly recyclable.
Every SteelMaster steel building has been professionally designed and engineered to meet BOCA, UBC, and IBC loads. Also each metal building comes with professionally engineered plans verifying that it will meet your local building loads.
Customizing the interior of your SteelMaster metal building is easy to do. With our clear span, truss-less design you can divide up the space in your SteelMaster steel garage however you want.
In order to expedite the off-loading of your SteelMaster steel building, you will need approximately 3-4 people to unload by hand or a piece of equipment such as a forklift, front-end loader, backhoe or boom truck. We recommend you wear gloves if unloading by hand because the panels are very sharp.
Blueprints should be received in 3-4 weeks, upon completion and authorization of the deposit and purchase order.
The quality of the SteelMaster overlap provides a virtually leak-proof building; therefore, most steel building owners elect not to caulk their entire steel garage. Please speak with your SteelMaster building Specialist regarding your specific application.
There are a number of options you can use for walls. Concrete, block, wood and even steel are all ways to increase the height of your SteelMaster steel building.
