While an arched steel building may look like something out of the future to some, the Futuro house that the SteelMaster group spotted along the road is something from another world. As the group stopped to check on a steel building, they came across what appeared to be a UFO that had landed many years ago. In reality, it was a 1968 house that was designed by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen using experimental plastic. Futuro homes were meant to be the modern house of tomorrow, but due to rising plastic prices only about 100 were built between 1968 and 1978. The one in Frisco, NC is one of a few still standing.
