Sandra C. of Chelsea, MI sent us a picture of her SteelMaster building that is used as a run-in shelter for her mule, horse, miniature horse, miniatrure donkey and two dwarf goats.

Two SteelMaster buildings hit the big screen this week alongside a powerful lineup of brawny stars in the highly anticipated release of the action/war film The Expendables. The film’s production house commissioned the buildings to replicate authentic military Quonset-style buildings that would be cost effective and easy to construct.

If your steel building exceeds 12’ in height, 20’ in width, or the number of people available to assist with construction is limited, erecting your building in half arches may be easier. This will reduce spreading and twisting that may occur while lifting a full arch. This method is safer and easier for a small crew.
While not necessary for construction, scaffolding can be a useful tool when building larger steel structures. Scaffolding height, width and attachment needs will vary with the size of your building, but you need to be able to construct a work platform two feet below the height of the building.
