Factory Material
Since our inception, we have been uncompromising in offering the highest quality steel materials in the industry. The minimum steel thickness that we use for our steel building panels is 22 gauge. All of our steel (between 14 and 22 gauge) is AZM 180 Galvalume Plus. In fact, we have for a number of years been ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s largest individual customer of this type of steel. The Galvalume Plus coating yields an ultra-durable bright finish and a mill-warranted resistance to corrosion. It also reduces the need for lubricating oils during forming, which makes the panels cleaner and less slippery. Our 12 gauge steel is G90 Galvanized. All of our steel is structural grade and is sourced only from the North American mills of ArcelorMittal. We order our steel based only on minimum thicknesses and yield strengths, as opposed to nominal thicknesses and strengths, and all of our purchases are backed up by test reports from the mills.
Our fasteners are coated to sustain a minimum 500-hour salt spray test. Stronger fasteners and fasteners with increased corrosion resistance, including stainless steel finishes, are also available. The fasteners come with a preassembled nylon washer that protects against leaks and hexagonal nuts with serrated flanges. Our metal building door and window frames are produced from a minimum of 14 gauge Galvalume Plus steel as are most of our accessories. From our high-quality turbine vents and custom adaptors, to our heavy-duty sliding door rollers, to our fiberglass skylights, to the custom made coated square washers for our base plates, we strive to ensure industry-leading quality in every component of our steel building and roofing systems.
