Portable Steel Building Goes from Pier to Pool
One of the benefits of steel arch buildings is that they have a clear span design allowing them to be used for a variety of applications. The partial quonset hut (shown on the left below) was originally purchased to be used for a gift shop on the pier of the USS Arizona in Hawaii. When the pier began to undergo renovations, the metal building was sold to someone else and disassembled so that it could be moved.

A little snow was not going to keep ExxonMobil from erecting their SteelMaster building. The commercial steel building was constructed last October amidst more than six inches of snow and high temperatures in the low 30’s.
