SteelMaster Buildings is celebrating their 25th Anniversary on February 19th 2007. Since 1982, SteelMaster has been on the cutting edge of product innovations with their metal arch building design. President and CEO Donald “Pat” Patterson says, “We take pride in being the industry innovator for clear- span metal structures.”

Over the past 25 years SteelMaster has designed buildings for Residential and Commercial building use. Residential building applications include garages, workshops, carports, agricultural and aircraft storage. The Commercial Division serves all branches of the armed forces, NASA, the DEA, numerous Fortune 500 companies, as well as developing solutions for world-renowned architects like Helmut Jahn and Michael Graves. SteelMaster’s customer base now exceeds 36,000 strong proving their buildings set the standard for strength and quality in the industry.

SteelMaster was founded in February 1982. Originating in the southeastern United States, SteelMaster spent its early years developing designs and specifications that would satisfy the agricultural and residential markets such as hay and animal shelters as well as small shops and garages. In November of 1985, the company received the trademark registration from the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office for the name "SteelMaster". The company established its own manufacturing facility in 1989 in an effort to control the quality of their product and develop one-ofa- kind specifications and designs. The equipment was designed in-house, producing the precisionengineered arches that have become SteelMaster's trademark. In 1992, the factory invented the "A" model, which has redefined the public's thinking of steel buildings.

The original company founded in 1979 by Rhae Adams Sr. passed from father to son in 1982 and is now owned and operated by Rhae Adams, Jr. & Donald H. Patterson Jr. It has become an industry leader for economical, high quality, precision-engineered arch steel buildings and metal roofing systems throughout the world.
